A Different Way to Experience College-Preparatory Education
Rivers Academy offers a college-preparatory program intentionally designed for students who need both academic rigor and meaningful flexibility. Our concentrated three-day academic week, small classes, and personalized support allow students to thrive in the classroom while pursuing serious commitments in athletics, the arts, and other passions.
At Rivers Academy, students are not passive learners. They are active participants in a dynamic academic environment where curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking are central to the learning experience.
Academic Structure
Rivers Academy students attend classes Tuesday through Thursday from
7:55 AM to 12:30 PM. This focused schedule allows teachers to deliver
rigorous instruction while giving students the flexibility to pursue
high-level real training, competitions, artistic development, and other
opportunities beyond the classroom.
Weekly Schedule
Students may remain on campus for lunch and extended academic support until 2:15 PM on class days.
Teaching and Learning
Rivers Academy delivers a rigorous curriculum taught by experienced educators who are deeply invested in student success. Courses are offered at the honors level and above, with opportunities for Advanced Placement (AP) coursework as students progress through the program.
Small class sizes allow teachers to engage students directly through discussion, collaborative problem-solving, and individualized feedback. Our faculty work closely with students to ensure they are challenged academically while receiving the support necessary to succeed.
At Rivers, teachers know their students well and are able to guide them academically, helping them develop the confidence and intellectual curiosity needed for college-level work.
Supporting Students with Ambitious Goals
Many Rivers students pursue elite levels of training in athletics, performing arts, entrepreneurship, and other competitive fields. Our academic structure is designed to support these commitments while maintaining high academic expectations.
When students must travel for competitions, performances, or training, teachers work with them to provide structured academic plans so they can remain on track with coursework. This collaborative approach allows students to pursue excellence beyond the classroom without compromising their education.
