- Register with collegeboard.org, act.org, and NCAA.org
- Plan to take the PSAT in the spring
- Start collecting college information and review admission requirements
- Continue extracurricular activities and service projects
- Consider SAT/ACT tutoring in late spring or summer
- Continue adding to your brag journal
- Recover any failed credits online during the summer

- Continue challenging coursework and keep grades up
- Register for the SAT and ACT — take each once to find your best fit
- Take the National PSAT/NMSQT for National Merit consideration
- Meet with counselor to confirm you're on track to graduate
- Ensure Health and PE requirements are complete
- Join National Honor Society if eligible
- Narrow college choices, plan visits, and investigate scholarships
- Attend local college fairs and continue adding to your brag journal

- Continue taking the SAT/ACT as needed
- Register with parchment.com to send transcripts to colleges
- Begin college applications — check deadlines and requirements carefully
- Complete the FAFSA form online and research scholarship opportunities
- Request teacher and counselor recommendations at least three weeks in advance
